Fire protection valves of the types FV-K90 and FVZ-K30 are designed for use in air conditioning systems and in addition to fire protection, they also have a ventilation function. They can be used for both air supply and extract applications. The volume flow rate can be adjusted via the two-position control unit. The valves are fixed into the wall with bayonet fixing and catch device to prevent accidental release.
If the temperature of the air passing through the valve rises above 72 °C, the fusible link parts and the valve centre disc springs to its closed position where it is mechanically locked. For maintenance purposes, the valve can easily be removed without using a tool, by twisting to the left beyond the catch (which provides a slight resistance).
Supervision by an external organisation as required by the German law is performed by FMPA, Baden-Württemberg.
